Job Position: Sales Manager
Description: Our client is the leading full-service event rental company in Texas, with more than 60, 000 sq. Ft. Of warehouse space across Austin, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, and San Antonio. They specialize in corporate events, large-scale festivals, private celebrations, and iconic Texas experiences such as five years producing Bevo Blvd. Their goal is simple: dominate the Texas market by delivering exceptional service, world-class inventory, and relentless execution. They did $5M in sales last year and are targeting $10M and needing an elite Sales Manager to help get them there.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing the full sales cycle, and building a high-performing sales team. The Sales Manager will refine and implement scalable sales processes, lead a team expected to grow to 4 5 members, and contribute to significant year-over-year revenue expansion. This position supports both B2B and B2C sales across multiple major Texas markets.
This is strictly an in-office role, and candidates must be fully committed to the position with no outside businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Execution
Manage the full sales pipeline for new, existing, and returning clients.
Sell across multiple event types, including corporate, private, festival, and specialty events.
Promote and sell the overall event experience, not just products or services.
Utilize internal sales and event-rental software, lead sources, and CRM tools.
Handle inbound leads, calls, and follow-ups with structured sales plans.
Team Building & Process Development
Recruit, train, and mentor a growing sales team (inbound and outbound).
Establish and refine sales processes, performance standards, and best practices.
Implement CRM discipline and ensure consistent follow-up and pipeline management.
Client Growth & Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with current, past, and new clients.
Support retention and repeat business across varied event types (corporate, kids, festivals, etc.).
Attend select events to strengthen client engagement and understand customer experience.
Planning & Reporting
Develop sales strategies aligned with aggressive growth goals.
Track sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline health.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Qualifications
3 5+ years of sales experience with leadership or team-building responsibilities.
Proven ability to create and implement sales processes.
Experience managing B2B and B2C sales cycles.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to learn quickly and operate as a high-performance ( A Player ) contributor.
Must be able to work on-site full-time and travel locally as needed.
Performance Expectations
Support revenue growth from approximately $5M to ~$10M.
Build a scalable, accountable sales organization.
Maintain professional alignment between past compensation history and offered pay structure.
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8: 30 AM 5: 00 PM (100% in-office)
Travel: Local event visits ~1x per month;attendance at major events as needed
Compensation: Base salary + commission (approx. 2% new business / 1% existing business)
