Remote - Part Time Bookkeeper

Job Description
Our client is an organization advocating for immigrant and refugee rights in Texas. Through coalition building, education, and legal support, they work to advance fair immigration policies at all levels. They are seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper (approx. 10 hours per week for now - can grow into more hours) to add to their team.
QuickBooks Online experience is a MUST HAVE for this role.
Qualifications:
- Must be based in Texas.
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online, ensuring compliance with policies, grants, and GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor relations and invoice processing.
- Accurately categorize and document company credit card transactions.
- Complete month-end close, including transaction review, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports (e.g., activity statements, balance sheets, general ledger).
- Assist with year-end filings, including 1099s.
- Handle administrative tasks such as tracking timesheets, expenses, and audit preparations.
- Provide general support to the organization as needed.
