An Austin-based construction company is seeking an Office Manager to work part time at their office. The ideal candidate will have a blend of accounting and administrative experience, and will have prior experience working for a construction office. This role has the potential to grow into a full time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping Duties: Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and payroll processing, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.

  • Documentation Management: Handle a substantial volume of documentation, including submittals, closeouts, and waivers, to maintain organized and up-to-date records.

  • Subcontractor Billing: Oversee subcontractor billing schedules, ensuring timely and accurate payments to all subcontractors involved.

  • General Office Duties: Perform everyday office tasks such as answering phones and ordering office supplies, contributing to the smooth operation of the office.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Previous Construction Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a construction office with familiarity in industry-specific procedures.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel: Skilled in using QuickBooks for financial management and Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Strong Phone Presence: Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with clients and subcontractors.
