Job Position: Production Data Clerk
Location: Austin, TX 78752
Description: Our client is a leading provider of the best RF device and microelectronic engineering solutions possible for aerospace, defense, commercial semiconductors, automotive, and medical.
We are looking for a proactive Production Data Clerk to manage the lifecycle of their production orders. You will be responsible for releasing orders into the system, monitoring their real-time progress, managing inventory, and troubleshooting bottlenecks. Your goal is to ensure that the production floor has accurate information, the system reflects the true status of every job, and orders ship on time to customers. This is a long term temporary assignment, expected to last about 4 months.
Responsibilities:
Order Release: Create production orders and travelers based on the direction of management within the ERP/MRP system (e.G., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
Workflow Monitoring: Track the movement of orders through various production stages to ensure they are moving according to the schedule.
Data Maintenance: Update job statuses, material usage, and labor hours in the system to provide an accurate picture of WIP (Work in Progress).
Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve "stuck"orders or data errors, such as missing material backflushes or incorrect quantity reporting.
Documentation Support: Prepare and distribute production packets, including drawings, pick lists, and quality checklists, to the appropriate departments.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Communicate daily with Production Supervisors and Planners to flag delays or prioritize urgent "hot"orders.
Requirements:
-Experience: 2+ years of experience in production environment releasing and managing work orders or production orders.
-Technical Knowledge: Prefer familiarity with cleanroom environments, ISO standards, and technical specifications for electronic modules.
-Technical Savvy: Previous experience with ERP or MRP software is highly preferred.
-Analytical Thinking: Ability to look at system data and understand how it translates to physical movement on the factory floor.
-Organization: Expert-level ability to manage multiple moving parts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-Basic Math Skills: Comfortable calculating production yields, scrap rates, and material requirements.
