Job Position: TTH Administrative Assistant to Benefits Department

Location: Austin, TX 78746

Pay Rate: $19/hr - $21/hr

Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support the Benefits and Leave team of a large law firm in SW Austin. This role primarily focuses on data entry, managing FMLA and leave-related documentation, and supporting various HR processes. Key Responsibilities:

-Process and manage FMLA paperwork;track leave cases and maintain accurate records in Dayforce, JJ Keller FMLA Manager, and shared drives
-Track and manage parental leave pay and provide backup support for FMLA and other leave-of-absence tasks
-Support the workers compensation process, including tracking claims and follow-ups
-Assist with onboarding tasks such as background checks, new hire documentation, and employee file audits
-Support benefits administration for new hires and terminations (core and supplemental plans)
-Assist with employment verifications, service award tracking, and applicant tracking logs
-Upload unemployment claim documentation into Dayforce and track progress
-Support payroll functions including PTO tracking and payroll check register handling
-Provide general administrative support across the HR department as needed

Qualifications:

-1 2 years of HR experience or administrative work in a related field preferred
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
-Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (must be comfortable with pivot tables and v-lookups)
-Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus
-Solid customer service and communication skills
-Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
-Familiarity with FMLA and multi-state leave laws is strongly preferred
