Job Description
We are accepting applications for an Austin-based Medical Laboratory Processing Company for their Medical Biller position. Most permanent employees have been there longer than 6 years and started in entry level roles comparable to this one!
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Obtain demographic and insurance information from scanned patient demographics and hospital charting systems
- Enter all data accurately into the billing system (Imagine) in a timely manner
- Verify insurance eligibility using insurance eligibility sites
- Audit pathology reports and enter accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes according to established guidelines
- Assist management with daily and monthly reporting as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications and skills:
- 1-2 years of medical billing experience, specifically working with pathology reports - entering accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes
