Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Coder to join our temporary staff. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing pathology reports and assigning appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine pathology reports to identify relevant information.
  • Use coding systems (ICD-10-CM and CPT) to assign accurate codes to diagnoses and procedures.
  • Verify that all codes are accurate 
  • Work cross functionally with internal and external partners to resolve any discrepancies or questions.
  • Assist management with daily and monthly reporting, as needed.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Prior pathology medical coding/billing experience required, specifically with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software
