A local organization is seeking an individual to fill a temporary Community Liaison position over the summer. While in this role, you would be providing in-person, phone and email support to community members seeking assistance from government and non-profit programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent documentation skills, the ability to provide excellent service under pressure and a dedication to confidentiality.
Duties may include:
- Assisting clients and directing them to the appropriate resources in-person, via phone or email
- Assisting clients in filling out applications
- Maintaining accurate documentation of all contact with clients
- Screening clients to ensure programs and services are meeting the needs of the public
- Supporting outreach programs to better educate the public about the mission of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience working in social services
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Experience using consumer data tracking software
- Skill in working with the public in high-stress situations
