Description: Local Organic Farm | June Mid September (3 4 months)
A well-established local farm known for USDA Certified Organic animal feeds and authentic pasture-raised organic eggs is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day operations while the owner is out on an extended trip. This is a temporary role with the potential to evolve into temp-to-hire, though long-term employment is not guaranteed.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, people-forward role in a working farm environment and is comfortable wearing many hats - someone who enjoys meaningful work, values community-based businesses, and feels at home in a lively, animal-filled setting while keeping operations running smoothly. The primary role will start officially in June, but the farm may have needs prior and could use help between now and then.
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday | 9: 00 AM 4: 30 PM
Farm closes for 1 hour at lunch daily
Duration: Approx. June 22 mid-September
What You ll Be Doing
Answering phones and assisting customers with a warm, service-focused approach
Responding professionally to emails, phone inquiries, and in-person guests
Taking and processing orders, including light sales support
Working within a POS system
Managing the production schedule and company calendar (Google Calendar)
Supporting inventory tracking (feeds, prepared goods, honor store items)
Keeping the honor store stocked and inventoried
Assisting with general administrative tasks as needed
Finding productive tasks during slower moments initiative is key

Strong administrative and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Customer-focused, warm, and engaging personality
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small team
QuickBooks experience a plus
Inventory experience a plus
High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence able to read the room
Mature, friendly, personable, and adaptable
Enjoys a rustic, non-corporate work environment

Dog-friendly, animal-forward working farm
Chickens, cats, livestock, and a 120-lb dog may be roaming
Casual, supportive office setting with the owner s team on-site for guidance
Dress code: Jeans, boots or sneakers, and a neat, work-appropriate top
