Accounting Assistant for Marketing Firm

A local advocacy marketing firm is searching for an Accounting Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate has solid tenure in their work history, is detail-oriented, and has the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Process monthly invoices, working across teams to coordinate deadlines
• Review invoices, estimates and purchase orders to record expenses for billing
• Identify and follow-through on discrepancies and missing invoices
• Process vendor payments, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve errors
• Assist in other areas of accounting as needed

• 2-3 years of general accounting experience
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of Macintosh or Apple computers and software - they only use MAC OS
• Solid organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, deadlines, and ability to format data clearly and concisely
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work closely with accounting team and media department
• Experience with accounts payable and advertising agency preferred
