Accounting Assistant for Marketing Firm

A local advocacy marketing firm is searching for an Accounting Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate has solid tenure in their work history, is detail-oriented, and has the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Process monthly invoices, working across teams to coordinate deadlines
- Review invoices, estimates and purchase orders to record expenses for billing
- Identify and follow-through on discrepancies and missing invoices
- Process vendor payments, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve errors
- Assist in other areas of accounting as needed
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of general accounting experience
- Proficient in Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Macintosh or Apple computers and software - they only use MAC OS
- Solid organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, deadlines, and ability to format data clearly and concisely
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work closely with accounting team and media department
- Experience with accounts payable and advertising agency preferred
