TEMPORARY Remote Summer Tech Support Opportunity!
Job Description
Remote tech support role assisting college students in setting up their Internet, with paid training! Not a typical CSR role, you should be tech savvy and have an interest in IT troubleshooting. Call center experience is not adequate on its own.
We are looking for technical knowledge, great customer service skills and happy upbeat people. You'll assist Student Customers via telephone with troubleshooting Internet connectivity, basic configuration, as well as account registration and general customer service inquiries.
August training will be held in July 2024. Associates who want to work this move-back should commit to 30+ hours a week if possible. Preference will be given to those who can work on the busy weekends, which are the 3rd and 4th weekends in August.

EXPERIENCE: Ideal candidate will have previous technical experience, customer support experience or strong personal experience working with computers, strong typing skills, and/or previous email/chat support. Should be very comfortable working/training remotely.
SUBJECTIVE: Ability to multitask, strong communication skills, friendly.
Customer service and treating their customers well is the HIGHEST priority for this company. They take this seriously for everyone at every level of the company. As long as you treat students and parents courteously and are kind and friendly, everything else is a side note. Even if you don't know the answer to a tech question, if the customer feels like you are listening and you care, that is more important.
AVAILABILITY: Associates must have good availability for the months of August-September 2024 and should commit to working 20 to 30+ hrs/wk.

Job Requirements
Ideal candidates have previous technical experience, customer support experience, and/or strong personal experience working with computers. Friendliness, clear communication, and professional conduct over the phone are a must. Paid training is provided, but you should have basic or mid-level technical knowledge and confidence in your ability to troubleshoot and learn new systems quickly.
Must be available to work July-September 2024 at least 30hrs/week
