Payroll Specialist

Are you skilled in payroll processes and have experience in Accounts Receivable? A growing Austin-based company is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. If you have experience with audits and reporting and are known for your accuracy and attention to detail, this opportunity might be perfect for you. Experience in government or non-profit sectors is a plus!

Accounts Payable:

• Review, code, and post all invoices for timely payment.
• Print and present checks to the Executive Director for approval and signature.
• Maintain and organize accounts payable files.
• Review mileage reimbursement forms and process reimbursement checks.
• Manage petty cash requests efficiently.

Cash Accounts:

• Oversee office petty cash management.
• Deposit employment checks from residents into a special account and disburse cash as requested.
• Maintain accurate records of each resident’s account balance.

Accounts Receivable:

• Prepare and manage deposit transactions.
• Set up and post Program Fees to individual accounts at the beginning of each month using accounting software.
• Post payments to resident accounts upon receipt.
• Generate and review a monthly discrepancy report with the Accounting Director.
• Compile and organize supporting documents for transactions.
• Monitor and review discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.

• Proven experience in payroll and accounts receivable roles.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with audits and reporting practices.
• Previous experience in government or non-profit sectors is advantageous.
